This school will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from March 24-29, 2019. The main goal of this summer school is to develop research capability. We aim to provide new researchers with a systematic overview of the research methods that are used in both HCI and CSCW. The school will also enable more experienced researchers to refine their skills in the research methods used in HCI \/ CSCW. Through lectures and hands-on activities, this summer school will focus on the details about four different research methods giving the students an essential set of tools to choose from in their careers. The participants will also have an opportunity to discuss their ongoing research and get feedback from other students and instructors.\u00a0As a side effect, we expect that the summer school will trigger collaboration across universities and research groups.<\/p>\n<p>There are 30 spots to be filled, and priority will be given to Latin American applicants<strong>. <\/strong>However, we encourage all those interested in applying!
